The Food Factor: Tingly Herb Tea
I enjoy warm drinks during the winter months, but coffee just isn’t the ideal afternoon beverage for me. I prefer something without caffeine.
Tingly Herbal Tea is the perfect fall flavored drink. While it’s called Tingly Herbal Tea, there is no tea in this drink. It’s a blend of spices, apple cider vinegar and water.
You can enjoy this easy-to-make drink year-round. You probably have the ingredients in your pantry already!
Tingly Herbal Tea
Serves 2
Ingredients:
2 cups hot water
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
Dash cayenne pepper powder
Directions:
- Wash hands with soap and water.
- Put all ingredients in a mug.
- Stir ingredients.
- Add splash of lemon juice or honey (optional).
- Enjoy the beverage warm or at room temperature.
Tips: If you don’t like as much kick, or if you have a sensitive stomach, leave out the cayenne pepper powder. For added flavor, try stirring this tasty herbal tea with a cinnamon stick.
