MSU holiday plants go on sale, display
MISSISSIPPI STATE – Dozens of poinsettia varieties and novelty plants will be on display and sale at the Dec. 4 Holiday Open House hosted by Mississippi State University’s Department of Plant and Soil Sciences. Additional poinsettia displays will be available Dec. 5 in Kosciusko and Jackson.
The MSU student horticulture club will sell poinsettias, Christmas cacti, amaryllis and paperwhite narcissus from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the campus greenhouses behind Dorman Hall on Stone Boulevard. Forty-nine varieties of poinsettias in shades of red, pink and white will be available in 6-inch pots and 12-inch baskets.
The poinsettia variety trials will be on display the following day during business hours at Natchez Trace Gardens in Kosciusko and at Green Oak Florist in Jackson.
