Beef, poultry expo planned for April 8
RALEIGH -- Poultry and cattle farmers will gain the latest production recommendations from state and national experts during educational seminars and a trade show set for April 8 in South Mississippi.
The Magnolia Beef and Poultry Expo will take place at the Smith County Agricultural Complex on Highway 35 South in Raleigh.
The program and trade show open at 9 a.m. Educational and commercial booths will range from agricultural equipment to medications for cattle and poultry. Topics on the program include feeder calves, beef and poultry market outlooks, estate planning and poultry house ventilation. Door prizes will be given away during the educational seminars.
The free event is open to the public and sponsored by the Mississippi State University Extension Service and the Community Bank of Raleigh. For more information, contact local Extension Service offices in Jasper, Rankin, Newton, Simpson, Smith or Scott counties.
