Free kits available to young child educators
MISSISSIPPI STATE – Free learning kits are available to directors of preschools who attend one 3-hour training session.
The Mississippi Department of Human Services’ Office of Children and Youth is providing educational materials to licensed child care centers with preschool-age children. The giveaway supports the Mississippi Child Care Quality Step system and Early Learning Guidelines.
Kits contain a variety of math, language and science learning tools. The items were selected for their educational quality and to help programs meet requirements of the Mississippi Early Learning Guidelines.
To receive a set of kits, program directors or a director designee must attend a 3-hour ELG Extravaganza: Creative Kit Activities for Science, Math and Language training and complete the National Association of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies intake form to participate in the Market Rate Survey.
MDHS mailed directors the schedule of trainings that will be conducted across the state by the MSCCR&R Network. Directors can preregister for the training by calling (662) 325-4129.
