Annual 4-H golf classic moves to new venue
MISSISSIPPI STATE -- The 13th annual Mississippi 4-H Golf Classic will be at the Lake Caroline Golf Course in Madison on Tuesday, May 22.
The annual golf classic is a fundraiser for the Mississippi 4-H youth development program, part of the Mississippi State University Extension Service. Development officer Morris Houston said the event was moved to the new location to make it more convenient and accessible for participants.
“Dancing Rabbit has been a great host for the 4-H classic for 12 years. Our move was made to bring the tournament a little closer to several of our teams and donors. Lake Caroline is a beautiful course, and we are excited to host our classic there this year,” Houston said.
The four-man scramble event begins with registration at 11:30 a.m. and is followed by lunch. At 1 p.m., teams will begin play with a shotgun start. Teams must pre-register by May 15 to participate. Participants are encouraged to register early. The cost is $150 per player or $600 per team.
Team and hole sponsorships are available. Sponsorships, golf fees and donations can be paid by check or credit card. Proceeds go directly to support members of the Mississippi 4-H youth development program. Mississippi 4-H is a 501(c)(3) tax deductible organization.
