Commodity advisory meeting set for Feb. 28
MISSISSIPPI STATE – The fourth annual Mississippi State University Extension Service Commodity Advisory Council meeting will be held Feb. 28 at the Coastal Research and Extension Center in Biloxi.
Producers of various commodities will have the opportunity to evaluate and provide direction on Extension educational programming for their products and crops.
Individual commodity sessions include commercial ornamental horticulture, fruits, livestock, row crops, seafood and aquaculture, forestry, home horticulture, vegetables, horse and apiculture. Reports on each commodity will be given during a general session. Representatives of the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station and the Extension Service will be present to discuss current issues and answer questions.
The Coastal Research and Extension Center is located at 1815 Popps Ferry Rd. in Biloxi. Deadline for preregistration is Feb. 21. On-site registration begins at 9 a.m. The meeting will end at 2:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
