Warm-season grass forage tour date set
MISSISSIPPI STATE – Forage and livestock producers across the state are invited to learn the latest research-based forage management recommendations at a warm-season grass tour at Mississippi State University.
The free tour will be July 13 at the H.H. Leveck Animal Research Farm’s Forage Unit in Starkville. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The tour runs from 8 to 11 a.m. Topics and activities include sorghum varieties, warm-season legumes, bioenergy crops, nitrogen fertility demonstrations, and bermudagrass and bahiagrass variety trials. Lunch will be served after the tour, so pre-registration is requested.
