MISSISSIPPI STATE -- Landowners who want to earn extra income are invited to attend a Natural Resource Enterprises business workshop on Feb. 25 in Jackson.

“The workshop is designed to help landowners and farmers find new and innovative ways to earn extra income,” said Daryl Jones, MSU associate Extension professor and Natural Resource Enterprises program director. “This workshop will give landowners and farmers the knowledge needed to begin natural resources-based enterprises on their own properties. They also will get materials and contact information to help them manage their property for wildlife and other resources.”

Hosted by Mississippi State University, the workshop offers attendees the opportunity to learn how to make more money from their land. Topics include recreational businesses, marketing, cost-share programs, liability reduction and wildlife management.

Registration is $25 per person or $30 per couple and includes lunch, snacks, and a collection of reference materials.

The workshop will be at the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation, located at 6311 Ridgewood Road in Jackson.
