Southeast MS growers consider business options
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Growers across 13 counties in southeast Mississippi have an upcoming opportunity to learn about the challenges and benefits of fruit and vegetable enterprises.
The informational meeting will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Forrest County Extension Office, located at 952 Sullivan Drive.
Mississippi State University experts and local growers will provide insights into growing citrus, fruits, vegetables and mushrooms. The free meeting is sponsored by the Mississippi Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association and the MSU Extension Service.
Lunch will be provided. Participants are asked to preregister by calling the Forrest Extension office at 601-545-6083 or emailing Lee Taylor at leet@ext.msstate.edu.
